General Rules
General Rules
All drivers must be registered by posting in the driver registration thread requesting a number. Numbers will be allocated on a first come first serve basis, however drivers who have already submitted a skin for the skin pack will have there number reserved.
To race in the league you must have rFactor installed with the latest version of the Saloons mod the Base Skinpack and most recent add-on Skinpack and the tracks listed in the schedule. You must also have access to the Sim-Stox MIRC channel, which can be found on the forum. You must book in for each meeting using the booking-in tool found on the portal/homepage. Late bookings will only be accepted if they do not necessitate a change to the Meeting Format once posted
During a meeting your name in the server (game profile name) must be, your registered name, followed by your number (I.E Hamster97) - This is important and must not be changed through the season other wise you MAY be excluded from points scoring.
This league is designed to be fun and fair, you are expected to treat all other drivers with respect. Abusing or swearing at other drivers will not be tolerated and you will be banned.
Car Skins
Drivers must submit 4 skins with the relevent coloured roof grades (I.E white, yellow, blue and red) to be included in the next Skinpack created. These should be sent as a ZIP or RAR file stating, racing name, driver number, and chassis type. Replica skins may be used, but you must check with admin prior to use for their approval.
Any new drivers will be required to use one of the Sim-Stox novice skins available until they have submitted a skin.
You may only use 1 paint job per chassis per season, so a careful choice needs to be made about the car you wish to use. Skins must be to a high standard with your racing number clearly shown with a contrasting background on each door and on the roof fin / number plates. If the admin team do not think the skin is to a professional standard you will be asked to ammend and re-submit.
On Track Behaviour
- Drivers must drive in the correct direction (clockwise) at all times.
- No use of the infield at any time, using the infield during a race will be classed as cutting.
- No driving round the track slowly or waiting for other drivers.
- Contact and Fencings are permitted but this must not fall into stupid driving by deliberatley ruining somebody's race outside the rules.
- No following in or unsporstmanlike sideswiping is allowed
- Drivers using the "There is a car in front of me, I must hit it" attitude will be penalised.
- No talking once the race has started, and until all drivers have crossed the finishing line.
- If your car is damaged you may leave it on track but off the racing line.
- Do not leave the server during a race as this will cause warp. However if your car is sat on the top of the fence please press escape.
- Care is to be taken when rejoining the racing line following a spin and persistant carelessness in this respect will be punished.
- Individual drivers with a bad connection may be banned from the rest of the meeting if it causes a problem for other drivers.
- Wall riding is NOT permitted. If you are hit into the wall, you must back off the throttle and gain full control. You must not use the wall to steer the car around the turn, nor use it to gain a race advantage. Anyone found to do so may be docked places, excluded from the results, or have their meeting points removed.
-Jump starts will be penalised by docking, 2 places or 2places per car they jump.
Complaints
Any driver who is lodging a complaint must do so within 2 days stating the race and replay time of the event, and a brief description of the incident. This can be done by sending a PM to Saloon Discipline on the forum. The Disciplinary team at their discretion may also review incidents that are not reported if there are exceptional circumstances.
The league will operate a penalty point system. When a driver reaches 6 points they will receive a 1 week ban. For every two points gained after this they will receive an additional 1 week ban (IE 8 points 2 week ban, 10 points 3 week ban). Offences will not carry a standard penalty, each incident will be judged individually. You will be informed of any penalties by PM and have 48 hours to appeal.
Any driver booking in and then not attending without prior notification will receive a Messer strike. Drivers receiving 3 Messer strikes will receive a 1 meeting ban, and a 1 meeting ban for each Messer strike after that.
Meeting Information
Meetings will normally take place on Tuesday evenings starting at 8:30pm UK time, although on Double Header nights we start at 7.30pm. All drivers will get at least four 16 lap Heat races and an 18 lap Final. If there are less than 22 cars booked in, then each driver will get four heats. If more than 22 are booked, the heats will be split into even numbers with the top 18 points scorers qualifying for the A final, a remaining top 4 from a consolation, and the rest for a B final (if run). Any tied points will be decided by the highest finishing position of the drivers in their heats, if there is still a tie it will be decided on national points and then alphabetically. Drivers are required to be in mirc chat for 8:25pm. For all-in meetings, driver must meet in server by 8.25pm as directed in Meeting Info on forum.
Roof Grades
Drivers will be split into grades in the following approximate active drivers ratio, 25% Reds, 25% Blues, 25% Yellows, 25% White. All drivers must run with their correct roof colour during the meeting. Grading periods per month. Drivers Grades are listed on the boards and also indicated in the latest points tables.
Due to the rules on going up and down grades, the ratio of grades may vary.
Drivers may go up a maximum of 2 grades at any one time, but may only drop 1 grade at any 1 time. White grade drivers winning an A final may be upgraded before the next meeting. To qualify for a downgrade a driver must attend 2 meetings in a grading period and at least 1 meeting in the previous grading period. Drivers who have won a race during the meeting, will start the rest of the meeting from the rear of their grade. If Driver doesn't start at the rear of his grade after winning he will be docked 2 places per car you are in front of. Drivers may be upgraded at admin’s discretion at anytime, including within a meeting if deemed necessery.
Drivers may only race from their grade in a Novice skin for a maximum of three meetings, after which a skin must be submitted for use in the SSC mod. Failure to do so will mean the driver starting from behind the Champion Graded drivers until the a suitable skin is submitted.
Winners of the following championships must run the roof colours/designs indicated:
World Champion - Gold
National Points Champion - Silver
European Champion - Red/Yellow checks
British Champion - Black/White checks
English Champion - Union Jack on top of wing
Scottish Champion - St. Andrew's Cross on top of wing
National Champion - Gold Vertical Stripe
The World, European, British, National, English, Scottish, and National Points champions must start at the rear of the grid.

All race formats will be 68 point max except Championship meetings.
White + Yellow Series
White + Yellow races will be held roughly once per month before the normal meeting.
All cars graded white or yellow on the day of that race are eligible to enter.
Points scored in W+Y races only count towards the Series Final grid and do not score National or World Ranking Points (unless specifically stated in the Meeting Info)
Any driver racing the White + Yellow race and not taking part in the main meeting will forfeit their points for that race.
The Series Finale will be open to any driver (regardless of grade) who has competed in at least 1 W+Y race that season. The Finale is lined up in graded order with the highest scorers to the front of each grade.
Start Procedure
The starting procedure used for all races is as follows unless otherwise stated:
When the lights go green (or the final buzzer has gone and countdown timer completed) drivers will make there way at a speed of less then 20mph to their starting position, as listed below and line up 2-a-breast. You must not pass drivers of your own grade. You must line up correctly without making contact with other cars, incidents will be dealt with the same way as if it were part of the race. Previous race winners during the meeting must start at the back of the grade. Once drivers are in position the steward will ask if anyone is not ready. If nobody replies, 'Roll at 20' is called and the leader of the whites will roll at a steady 20mph for the rolling lap. Drivers at the front of each grade are to drive at approx. 20mph but ensure they keep their 4 to 6 cars distance to the grade in front. Anytime after the leading white reaches the apex of turns 3 & 4 the steward will call 'GO GO GO' and the race will be on.
If for any reason the grid does not form properly after rolling, then a restart may be called. If there are persistent offenders that stop races being started they will be sent to the back of the grid or excluded.
Starting positions approxiamate - always follow instructions from meeting steward
Whites: At the start / finish line
Yellows: Exit of Turn 4
Blues: Exit of Turn 3
Red: Entry to Turn 3
Championship Rounds
World Championship & World Rankings
All major championships and other selected events, will be designated as World Ranking events as shown in the fixture list. All drivers racing at these designated events will score points in 2 ways as follows:
Attendence:
World - 18 points
Euro / British / National - 12 points
Scottish / English - 10 points
All other WR events - 6 points
(If a championship is run over two days then drivers would score half attendance points for each day raced)
The top 10 in the Championship races will score from 10pts for 1st down to 1pt for 10th, multiplied as follows:
World x 5
Euro / British x 4
National x 3
Scottish / English x 2
Other WR x 1
In addition to the above, the top twenty in each tracks ‘Track Championship’ will receive 20,19,18,17,16,15,14,13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 points. Tracks with 1 or 2 meetings will score normal points, Tracks with 3 or 4 meetings will be doubled. Tracks with 5 or more will be trebled.
World Rankings will run up to and including 7th September 2010 at which point the top 20 cars in the rankings will automatically qualify for the WF in points order. any reserves will be taken from the next positions. Drivers not then qualified will be eligible for the Last Chance Saloon Race, formed in points order. The Top 4 in this race will join the back of the WF grid giving a 24-car final.
The 2010 World Final will take place at Mildenhall (if ready) and will begin with a 2 lap rolling start over 25 laps and carry the following National Points score:
50,45,40,35,30,25,20,15,10,5.... New World Champ does NOT have to retire from the rest of the meeting.
- The new world champion will race the full world final meeting.
- The defending World Champion will be seeded at the back of the World Final grid if they fail to qualify either by World Rankings or Last Chance Race.
- The current World Champion will start all races towards the rear of the field with the other Champions.

European Championship (20 lap race)
Championship will be run over two days with qualifying races run on the Monday night in graded order. Each driver will contest a minimum of FIVE heats. Top 18 cars from qualifying will then be seeded into the Championship race on Tuesday. A further 4 places will be available via a Last Chance Qualifier run as first race on the Tuesday. The LCQ will line up in points order from the Monday night. Any driver who did not race on the Monday may compete in the LCQ but they must line up at the back of the grid in (closed) graded order
- New Champion will line up with Champions for duration of their reign

Championship will be the first race of the night. Grid will be decided by random draw in groups of 6. Drivers who have competed in less than 50% of meetings at Scottish tracks will have to start at the rear of the grid in (closed) graded order
Format (22+ cars booked)
Each car will race in 4 heats, normal graded order with the top 18 scorers qualifying for the Championship final. There will be 4 additional places available via a Last Chance Race.
22 cars will contest the Championship final with the cars lining up in random;y drawn groups of 6.
- New Champion will line up with Champions for duration of their reign

22 cars will contest the Championship final with the cars lining up in random;y drawn groups of 6.

Championship will be the first race of the night. Grid will be decided by random draw in groups of 6. Drivers who have competed in less than 50% of meetings at English tracks will have to start at the rear of the grid in (closed) graded order
Format (22+ cars booked)
Each car will race in 4 heats, normal graded order with the top 18 scorers qualifying for the Championship final. There will be 4 additional places available via a Last Chance Race.
22 cars will contest the Championship final with the cars lining up in random;y drawn groups of 6.

National Championship (20 lap race)
Championship will be run over two days with qualifying races run on the Monday night in graded order. Each driver will contest a minimum of FIVE heats. Top 18 cars from qualifying will then be seeded into the Championship race on Tuesday. A further 4 places will be available via a Last Chance Qualifier run as first race on the Tuesday. The LCQ will line up in points order from the Monday night. Any driver who did not race on the Monday may compete in the LCQ but they must line up at the back of the grid in (closed) graded order

Champion of Champions
This race will include the Winners of all Championship races and meeting finals. Invited drivers may also be seeded onto the grid.
