General League Rules
General League Rules Summary

If you are intending to, or are interested in racing at Sim-Stox, you are required to register on the Portal/Homepage AND on the forum.

We accept our members have busy lifestyles but we do ask for at least a small amount of commitment and input towards Sim-Stox. This will be by way of; racing, posting on the forum, or help with the running of the site and leagues. Members with zero or negative input, over a period of time may have their membership status removed.

To race in the league you must have rFactor installed with the latest version of your chosen formula(s), the most recent skin pack(s) and the tracks listed in the schedule (all located in the paid members downloads section). In addition, for all Stockcar & Banger meetings, you will install the mIRC chat program as described on the forum.

All drivers must be registered by posting in the driver registration thread requesting a number. Numbers will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Drivers are requested to book in for each meeting using the booking-in tool found on the portal/homepage. Late entries may be allowed at admins discretion (although we will not accept newcomers just to turn up and race with no practise). All new members driving standards will be reviewed during practise before the meeting.

Prior to a meeting you will have read the leage rules and relevent formula rules so that they are fully understood.

In regard to General Ettiquette, we expect all members to respect each other and treat each other as they wish to be treated themselves. While there is a competitive edge to the racing we still expect a 'Sportsmanlike' attitude toward racing. Swearing and/or abuse toward another member will not be tollerated. ie; during racing, MIRC, the Portal Chatbox or forums, etc. Due to the nature of sim racing where there is no risk of injury or financial loss due to over aggressive driving, we are quite strict regarding OTT contact regardless of whether it happens in real life or not. Deliberate fencing is not accepted and may face a ban. Wallriding is not permitted and drivers found guilty of this may face exclusion from the results.

Admin as a group will review any incident either witnessed by them or reported to them and discuss any required action to be taken. If necessery this action will be reported to any individuals concerned, followed by letting all members know of any disciplines or rule changes. Drivers can appeal a decision within 48 hours. The outcome of the appeal will be final.

No 'talking' is permitted once a race has commenced (ie once rolling lap has begun). Anyone with a very poor driving standard which causes problems for others, may be asked to leave the meeting. When they next wish to race they will required to join early for practise so their driving can be reviewed again.

If you crash and and your car is undrivable/dead remain where you are do not exit to monitor. DPS's will be awarded if you do. Leaving during the race can has an effect on everyone so dont do it.

Drivers are expected to have a 'warp-free' connection whilst using our servers at ALL times. So all downloads/uploads etc while racing is not allowed. Anyone seen to be warping will be asked to leave the server by admin member, following a warning. Drivers with bad connection causes massive problems for others, especially within the confines of a small oval with contact racing.
